Stumbled across this topic on the mage forums, started by Tashre-Baelgun. Not a bad topic, it's gotten past the one page mark... meaning there are several mages with an opinion on the subject.

Every mage needs light feathers for their slow fall antics. So where do you farm light feathers? Here's what a few helpful posters on the forums had to say:

1. The harpies in North West barrens. I just run around spamming ice land and tab. O_o - Dyonnisse-The Underbog
2. As Horde - northwest of thunder bluff. Teleport TB > out of the cave, jump off spirit rise and feather fall to the floor. theres a ton of lvl 9-11 harpies here for a lowbie quest that drop feathers. - Sheepofilia-Khaz'goroth
3. I get mine off the sketti i get skyguard rep cuz im not exhalted, and a crap ton of light feathers. - Endrick-Drak'thul
4. The graveyard next to the deadmines (VC instance) in Westfall zone. A dozen or so close together and like level 16. Just Blizzard or other AOE them down. It is also nice they have fairly fast respawn rate. - Selenay-Stonemaul

So how about it, where do you farm for light feathers? Or do you just buy them off the AH?
