There's a thread over on the U.S. forums talking about the 45 second cooldown on the priest spell, Silence.  More specifically, it asks the question, "What justifies a 45 second cooldown on the SPriest silence?". So, what does justify it?

Psychic scream is one of those skills that you simply have to master to be a good PvP Priest. Noob Priests will simply run straight in and try to fear from the start. That is not effective use of psychic scream.

The best times to use psychic scream in PvP

1. When the enemy has just picked up the flag in WSG flag room. Why? Think about it for a second. What happens when you fear someone? They run around in some random direction for a few seconds.
   Now, look at the layout of the flag room? Count the corners: one, two, three, four, five, and six (I counted the corners around the flag stand too). When you fear the enemy in the flag room, many times it jams them into a corner… Ripe for the killing! More...
   

This has been brought up recently on the forums. The topic in question is, “Why isn’t PoM as smart as chain heal?” If you’re not familiar with the Shaman’s Chain Heal spell, it allows the Shaman to heal multiple targets that are in close vicinity to each other. It’s smart too… it will bounce to players with the lowest heal within the proximity of the original target.

But wait! Prayer of Mending does that too… sort of. It will jump to the target with the lowest health within the 20 yard range, similar to the Shaman’s Chain Heal. But what if PoM jumps over to someone who isn’t taking any damage? It basically becomes a wasted heal and a waste of mana. More...

At first glance, the Shadow Priest vs. Hunter match-up looks like a downhill battle for the Priest. Many Priests will try the classic DoT and run technique, which fails utterly against a Hunter (especially the BM Hunters).

So what do you do? Simply, be aggressive. Granted, no strategy is going to make you win 100% of your match-ups. However, being aggressive against a Hunter, especially if you can’t LoS him, really helps. More...
