WoW Forums -> Where do you farm Light Feathers?

Stumbled across this topic on the mage forums, started by Tashre-Baelgun. Not a bad topic, it's gotten past the one page mark... meaning there are several mages with an opinion on the subject.

Every mage needs light feathers for their slow fall antics. So where do you farm light feathers? Here's what a few helpful posters on the forums had to say: More...

Chapter 3: Warsong Gulch-Flag Defender Role

The art of flag defense in Warsong Gulch

Welcome to chapter 3 of the SpellDamage.com PvP guide for 29 twink mages. In chapter 2 I showed you how to master the art of flag assist. In this chapter I’ll be going over another important role in Warsong Gulch (WSG)… Flag Defender!

This is a role that the 29 twink mage is somewhat good at. There will be times when you totally lock down the enemy flag carrier, or times when you get totally destroyed by their entourage. I’ll teach you how to handle some common scenarios you will face when defending the flag.

For the first time, you’ll be called on to actually do some damage to your enemies. This chapter does not go into detail about the best ways to destroy your opponents. That will come in a later chapter. More...

Mage Arcane Orb Class Mount?

Now this is a hilarious forum post here:

I just want to ride around on my arcane-orb, even if it takes me weeks to complete a quest chain :(

This was Androy of Duskwood's reply to a Warlock's QQ about the epic warlock mount quest. It left me rolling, had to share!

29 Twink Mage PvP Guide - Chapter Two

Chapter 2: Warsong Gulch – The Flag Assist Role

The Art and Zen of the Flag Assist

Welcome to chapter 2 of the SpellDamage.com play guide for 29 twink mages. In chapter 1 I showed you how to master the art of flag capping. In chapter 2, you’ll learn how to assist the flag carrier better than nearly any other class (ok, perhaps twink priests are a bit better). Before we get started though, this guide is not a guide to show you what gear you need, or how to spec. Those guides are in the works; let’s get started.

I’ll be going over a very important role in Warsong Gulch (WSG)… Flag Assist! If you read the last segment of this guide, you already know that flag capping is the most important role in WSG. It should be obvious that this role is very important too. Most of the time, the flag carrier will not make it back to home base without support.

This is a role that the 29 twink mage is especially good at. At times, you’ll be able to single-handedly hold off the entire enemy defense while your flag carrier runs home. You have the perfect tools to get this done. It’s silly really, sometimes you’ll just laugh out loud at how you’ve managed to render their defenses helpless. More...

29 Twink Mage PvP Guide - Chapter One

Chapter 1: Warsong Gulch - Flag Capping Role

The art of capping flags in Warsong Gulch

[Note, this is the first chapter in an epic 29 twink mage pvp guide. I'm going through every role, every key ability, everything. By the time this epic guide is complete, 29 twink mages will be masters of their craft. Twink rogues R not E!]

After reading this, and a little practice, you’ll make a name for yourself in no time. Before we get started though, this guide is not a guide to show you what gear you need, or how to spec. Those guides are in the works; so let’s get started.

In this chapter, I’ll be going over a very important role in Warsong Gulch (WSG)… Flag Capping! Obviously capturing the flag is the most important role in WSG, its how you win! So follow this guide and you’ll win more. I’ll describe this from the horde perspective, but if you flip the map, it’s the same for both sides. Let’s get started. More...

What if Ice Block was Trainable at Level 20?

[Note: This is the “What If…” column, where I go through some what if scenarios in World of Warcraft. I present for and against perspectives and throw my vote in there at the end.]

The 20-29 PvP bracket is something I’ve been putting a lot of attention into lately, checkout my 29 twink mage guide. It lets you get some good, fun PvP in… even as a casual player. You just have to spend a bit of time and a big chunk of hard earned cash to create a playable character in that level range.

First thing you’re probably thinking is, “Who cares if Ice Block is trainable at 20 instead of 30?” The answer is 29 mage twinks do. Just imagine if you had over 200 fire spell damage, lots of hit points (for a mage), and the capability to withstand the barrage of a 29 twink rogue (even if only for a few seconds)? More...

Should Polymorph Heal Your Opponent?

In my opinion, Blizzard should remove the healing penalty on polymorph. With the turns the World of Warcraft (WoW) has gone through over the years, it’s time to remove the penalty.

Now that the Burning Crusade has been out for over a year, and gear changes have caused the average PvP player to have a full suit of great epic items, do you think polymorph should still heal the poly’d player?

When WoW launched, it was necessary. It wasn’t fair for a mage to poly, blast, poly, blast, rinse, and repeat until their target was dead. But now opponents have so many hit points would it be? More...
